New wines

We finally set up our new wine fridge and decided to start filling it up. Here's what we've got in there now, including prices for those of you shopping around:
2005 Maysara, Pinot Noir (wedding gift)
2003 J. Christopher, Le Pavillon Blanc (wedding gift)
2006 The Stump Jump, McLaren Vale (white blend) $9.99
2005 Quivira, Sauvignon Blanc, Fig Tree Vineyard $16.99
RN13 Vin de Pique-Niqu, Rosé (no vintage) $13.99
2005 Cusumano, Insolia $13.99
2006 Molly Dooker, Two Left Feet (red blend) $18.99
2006 Molly Dooker, The Boxer, Shiraz $18.99

The Molly Dooker wines, unbeknownst to us until about two weeks ago, are all the rage this year. One wine store we cruised through was actually hoarding some cases that hadn't been claimed by one of their customers. Oddly, at the supermarket where we eventually purchased all of these wines, they had two large displays of Molly Dooker wines. Lucky for us.

For reds try Red Truck and Lady Bug. This is my second time with both of them and they are really good buys.

Another new red that we just tried is Gnarly Head from Lodi. It is an old vine zin and was highly recommended by the store owner. We opened it with our friends and after it warmed to room temperature it was well received for an inexpensive purchase. It's worth a try.
